Woman Honored for Working to the Top of Her Profession

In June, Dawn Staley was honored with an induction to the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame. For more than twenty years, she has worked hard and striven for excellence, first through high school and college, then in the ABL and WNBA, and then in the 2004 Olympics where she carried the US flag for the opening ceremonies and went on to win three gold medals. Staley grew up the Philadelphia housing projects as the youngest of five children. She hopes her story of determination to win, hard work, and passion will inspire and give hope to others in similar situations.
