Women make up 46 percent of today’s workforce in the United States, but only make 77.5 cents for every dollar men earn for the same work according to JobProfiles.org. Women’s support networks and organizations serve a necessary role in helping to encourage, motivate, educate, and support those looking to advance in their careers. One such organization, Women Inspiring Women, was founded by Leslie Sturgeon of New Hampshire. According to Sturgeon, “It is the largest organization dedicated to providing women with education, support and resources for their growth and personal development.”
