Tips for Being A Plus One at Someone Else’s Wedding

The first challenge when you’re a “plus one” to a stranger’s wedding is to figure out what gift to give. Many couples choose to send a joint gift, but if this isn’t an option, getting something nice for the bride and groom yourself is fine.  Look to the wedding registries, or just give money or a gift card, but don’t worry about spending a fortune. Another challenge is wedding attire. If the invitation doesn’t give instructions, have your date call whomever he or she knows to get details. On the big day, you may have to rely on lots of small talk, but that doesn’t mean you can’t relax and just have a good time!
