The US Bureau of Labor estimates that 40% of household breadwinners today are women. Even though women can seek fulfillment outside the home, often they are not able to choose between career and children. They choose to fulfill both roles and this creates a new set of pressures. Fortunately, there are flexible options which allow women to spend more time with their families while still working. For example, it is common for women to work or take classes online. While fulfillment means different things to different women, the fact remains that women today enjoy more freedoms than at any time in our nation’s past.
