Resilience is the ability to thrive or quickly recover in the face of crises, stresses, changes, and hardships. In today’s ever-changing and extremely stressful workplaces, resilience can be one of the most important traits an employee can have. Those who are resilient sustain good health and energy while under constant pressure and on-going change. They are able to adapt to new processes and procedures, to cope with adversity and hardships, to bounce back quickly from setbacks, and do not become victimized by situations. Though some people are fortunate enough to be born with a resilient nature, resilience can also be learned.
