Statistics show that women are starting businesses at more than double the rate of other businesses. Though women still face particular obstacles and challenges in the workplace, they are overcoming them successfully. For example, even though women still deal with wage and position discrimination, certain job fields are currently dominated by women. Political and governmental challenges also still exist. Many laws, programs, and resources have been created to help women, but much still needs to be done. The most effective tools women can use to overcome obstacles are networking and support from mentors and other successful women in business.
