Women make up over 50% of entry-level workers in many businesses, but women only hold 19% of the top business positions. Women need to learn how to promote themselves to advance in their careers. Many only promote their abilities during reviews, and this is not nearly enough to be recognized and remembered by supervisors. Women should make clear goals for their careers, and utilize networking to advance these goals. Asking others for career help, evaluating measurable goals, networking, and self-promotion are valuable tools women can use to advance and grow in their career fields.
