In the weeks preceding the November Presidential Election, 10-year-old Sophia Bailey-Klugh wrote President Obama thanking him for his public stance on gay rights and describing the love that exists within her own family. She also asked the president for advice on how to deal with people at school who weren’t so open-minded on the topic of homosexuality. On November 1st, less than a week before the election, Obama took the time to respond to her. In the president’s words, “…whether you have two dads or one mom what matters above all is the love we show one another.”
