Co-founders of the the Epstein Becker Green law firm’s Women’s Initiative, Joan Disler, Frances Green, and Mickey Neuhauser, have been teaching women executives and attorneys how to play golf for ten years. Their goal has been to build relationships and business opportunities with clients and prospective clients. Tracking the new business generated keeps the program going strong. Kate Sweeney of Morgan Stanley Smith Barney believes it’s important to know the sport for career potential, noting how much you can learn about someone in an informal environment. “You see if they’re patient, play by the rules…or take themselves too seriously,” she says.
