Republican Senator Lisa Murkowski recently named two lesbian moms, Victoria Greene and Therese Huebler, “Angels in Adoption” in Alaska. They attended a gala for the Angels program in Washington D.C., which is run by the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute (CCAI). The CCAI is a non-profit organization that provides members of Congress the opportunity to honor those who have made an extraordinary contribution to children in their district. Senator Murkowski explained on her website that she chose Greene and Huebler as Alaska’s Angels because after they fostered two siblings out of four, they were given the opportunity for adoption and took in the entire family.
