Jobs Remain Strong in California Bay Area

Despite nationwide unemployment and hiring problems, the South Bay and San Francisco region of California are likely to remain powerhouses in employment and growth. The Bay area produces technological products and services that are hot in today’s economy. Business investments are also performing well. However, the pace of the Bay area employment growth has begun to slow. At some point the national economy could become more of a drag on the Bay area markets, but for the foreseeable future, the Bay is unlikely to see actual job losses.
