Episcopal Church Advocates for LGBT Rights

One of the missions of the Episcopal Church is “to transform unjust structures of society.” The Church strives to follow the Christian principle of loving your neighbor as yourself. Last month, the Episcopal Church worked to stay in alignment with their principles and missions by adopting resolution D018 which urges members of the U.S. Congress to repeal federal laws that have a discriminatory effect on same-gender civilly married couples and to allow the U.S. federal government to pass legislation to provide benefits to those couples. The Episcopal Church will continue to advocate for protecting and advancing the rights of all families in America.
